The Ladybird Vineyards Lodge is nestled in the heart of the Cape Winelands, on a picturesque 40-hectare estate in the Simonsberg ward near Stellenbosch. With 36 hectares of meticulously farmed vineyards, the lodge is dedicated to producing exceptional wines that showcase the region’s unique terroir.
Formerly known as Laibach Vineyards, the estate was acquired by neighbouring Kanonkop in April 2022 and renamed Ladybird Vineyards Lodge. The property retains its original charm, featuring the historic Laibach wine cellar, a welcoming guest house, and organically cultivated vineyards.
Led by the experienced management team of Michael and Anél Malherbe, alongside esteemed winemaker Francois van Zyl, Ladybird Vineyards continues to produce high-quality wines. The estate’s vineyards include Chenin Blanc, Merlot, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinotage, Petit Verdot, and Malbec.”
